Need to add a new user to your Google Search Console account? Use our step-by-step instructions and check this little task off your to-do list.
Step 1: Login
Login to Google Search Console and choose the property you want to share from the Search drop-down menu on the top left side of the screen.
Step 2: Go to Settings/Users and Permissions
Select Settings from the left navigation menu and open the users and permissions section.
Step 3: Add a user
Click + in the top-right corner to "Add User" and enter chelseaandrachelco@gmail.com to provide our agency access.
Note: You can only add users that have a Google Account (i.e. …@gmail.com)
Step 4: Assign Permissions
Add the appropriate permission level. For our work, please add Full permission so we can view data, resubmit site indexing, and verify fixes as needed throughout your project.
Google Search Console Permission Levels
- Owner - you can only have one verified owner but can assign other designated owners.
- Full - access to all data, perform tasks like verifying fixes and making url indexing requests.
- Restricted - view all data only
- Associate - cannot view all data and can only complete specific tasks
Step 5: Submit the change
Click the Add button to save.
